Martin Guillaume BIENNAIS (Conchère (La), 1764 - Paris, 1843). Travelling bidet in mahogany and gilded brass, with square section, the sides reinforced with brass brackets, the removable tray provided with a knob on one side and lined with green leather on the other side, it uncovers a removable copper basin, signed "Biennais M. G. Tabletier ébéniste au Singe Violet rue Honoré number 511 à Paris". It stands on four fluted tapered legs, ringed, formerly removable. Around 1800, Consulate period.
