BARTHÉLÉMY-SAINT-HILAIRE Jules (1805-1895) 8 autograph letters signed to "Merruau" Paris and Versailles, from February 23, 1856 to February 12, 1872. 6 pp and 3 1/2p. in-8. In this correspondence he congratulates Merruau for his articles dealing with Suez and on their effects in the public opinion, however he specifies certain points as on February 23, 1856 "It was necessary to say: The silt of the Nile does not reach the bay of Sélufe or rather it enters there only by two mouths [] that of Tinch and that of Oman Fareg [] "; BULOZ François (1803-1877) 3 Autograph letters signed to [Paul Merruau] Paris, July 7, 1851, September 25, 1851 and (s.d.). 4 pp 1/2. in-8. Two of them with the heading "Revue des Deux Mondes". Interesting correspondence evoking various French and foreign publications, as well as a problem with the Théâtre Français. On July 7, 1851, he evokes the "Blue Books" and asks him if he owns the one "[] on the liners []", On September 25, 1851 he asks him for his "[] article on Dahomey []" then evokes "[] The Yearbook [of the Navy]". On December 10, he asks him for a favor and wishes that he publishes in the Constitutionnel, with the authorization of the Minister "[] the vote that here []" finally he evokes his defense "M. the Royal Commissioner near the Théâtre-français [] put under the eyes of Mr. the Minister of the interior the pieces which can enlighten his superiors on the acts of (on administration?)
