William, Duke of NEWCASTLE. Method and new invention of training horses London, Brindley, 1737. In-folio, blond basane, triple fillet, spine with 6 ornamented bands, marbled edges (later binding). Mennessier de La Lance, II-248 /// (6f.)-236. Second edition, with an engraved title and 42 folding plates engraved in intaglio, drawn on the copperplates of the original edition published in Antwerp by Jacques Van Meurs in 1657. They were engraved by Clouwet, Lommelin, van Caukercken, etc. after Abraham Diepenbeeck. Ex-libris Camille Boutet on the back cover. Binding rubbed, corners and headpieces dulled, tears restored to plates 7, 23 and 25, 2 plates browned.
